Over years ago, slavery was officially abolished in the British Empire.
But this film reveals that a form of slavery continued well into the 20th century - Indian indentured labour, where over a million Indians were recruited and sent all over the Empire to work in what amounted to slave conditions. Narrated by Sanjeev Bhaskar.
