Simon Callow's acclaimed performance in Peter Ackroyd's stage play.
Based on Ackroyd's own biography of Dickens, it is a journey through the life and writings of the great 19th-century author. Ackroyd has blended his own narrative about the writer with recollections, plus extracts from the author's best-loved works. In addition to the leading role, Callow brings to life a whole gallery of Dickensian characters.
