The Passing of a Humorist Reflections upon the life and passing of Jerome K. Jerome by ANTHONY LALLY
In June 1927, while on a motoring holiday, Jerome K. Jerome , author of Three Men in a Boat, suffered a stroke and spent two weeks, speechless and semi-paralysed, in Northampton General
Hospital. This play is not a biography, but -by entering the mind of Jerome K. Jerome as he lies dying - attempts, not without a certain humorous detachment, to give an impression of his life, thoughts and ideas.
Directed by GLYN DEARMAN (The full binaural effect of this programme can be achieved by listening through stereo headphones)
