The victim of an acid attack returns to her mother's home to take on her maternal duties.

On leaving hospital after months of painful skin grafts, Jade returns to her mother's home to take over her maternal duties. She faces a range of reactions to her facial disfigurement, caused during an acid attack by the father of her daughter. Best friend Shami helps with the reintegration into old surroundings, but Jade is determined to save enough money for further operations.
