Livestock and fruit farmers head to Guildford in Surrey to sell their food and drink.

Livestock farmers Ian and Luke hope their high-welfare meat will sell well at Guildford Farmers’ Market. Fruit farmer John also hopes the hot weather will draw in customers.

Friends and livestock farming duo Ian and Luke are passionate about producing high quality meat, and a vital location for selling it is Guildford Farmers’ Market in Surrey. Ian is keen to use his hospitality background, attracting customers with cooking advice, and hopes that the warm weather will bring out the barbecuing buyers. This market is also important for John, a third-generation Sussex fruit farmer. As well as picking his finest fresh fruit, he also makes apple juice so he can pocket as many sales as possible. With over 1,000 customers expected, the farmers hope it will be a lucrative day away from their jobs at the farm.
