Catrin Nye presents a range of inspirational talks with a Welsh connection and interviews the speakers to explore their big idea. This week, she’s opening up the Covid Files.

Covid 19 has dominated all our lives for nearly two years.  In this edition of The Idea, Catrin Nye takes a deep dive into the story of the pandemic – and our responses to it.  In The Covid Files, she hears from anthropologist Heidi Larson,  the London School of Hygiene and Tropical diseases, who has studied the reasons why so many people are reluctant to be vaccinated. Swansea University social scientist Simon Williams tells Catrin which of us are more likely to obey the Covid rules.  And we hear from medical historian Michael Bresalier, also from Swansea University, who has made a study of influenza epidemics and says we have much to learn from the story of flu.

The Idea brings us some of the best talks with a Welsh connection, and interviews with the speakers in-depth about their big idea.  It’s food for the mind and inspiration for the soul.
