Twenty years ago an outbreak of Foot and Mouth disease threw rural Wales into crisis.  Thousands of animals were slaughtered and for many life was turned upside down.  Back in 2001 Melanie Doel reporting from across Wales, throughout the crisis for Country Focus and for BBC Radio Wales and television and in this week and next week's programme she takes a look back at the implications the crisis had for farming and rural Wales and the lessons learned
