Can triple European champion Dina Asher-Smith climb the World Championships podium in the women’s 100m final? Asher-Smith won 100m, 200m and 4x100m gold in Berlin last summer and she is desperate to shine in Doha alongside the likes of Jamaican 100m Olympic champions Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Elaine Thompson. 

Elsewhere, Holly Bradshaw is another Briton attempting to transfer European success onto the global stage having won European Championship pole vault bronze in 2018. Bradshaw needs to be on top of her game as the women's pole vault features one of the most stacked fields in the entire Doha schedule led by reigning world, Olympic and European champion Katerina Stefanidi of Greece.
