The story of Rommel (James Mason), who fought the British in north Africa in WWII.

Humanistic biopic of Hitler's greatest commander, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, famous for bringing the British in north Africa to a standstill for two years during World War II.

When he orders a retreat in the north African desert, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel is relieved of his duties and returns to Germany. While convalescing, he is asked to help plot the assassination of Hitler. Biographical war drama.
