BBC Two - The Importance of Being Earnest

Reese Witherspoon stars as the object of affection for two men using the same alias.

Adaptation of Oscar Wilde's masterpiece, set in 1890s England. A comedy of mistaken identity ensues when two gentlemen friends use the same alias to pursue the women they love.

Screen adaptation of Oscar Wilde's celebrated play in which two Victorian gentlemen both adopt a double identity under the name of Ernest and end up in trouble when they both turn up at the same country house one weekend.
