Food fanatic Stefan Gates is on a one-man mission to try to stop the UK's mums and dads ruining mealtimes, but he has just 24 hours to teach Disaster Chef parents to cook a restaurant-standard, two-course meal in a professional kitchen for three mystery judges - including actor and CBBC presenter Joe Swash.

Charley from Ruislip has had enough of her mum Michelle's burnt oven pizzas and microwave meals. She loves Italian food, so Stefan conjures up a magnificent menu of fresh tortellini pasta followed by a rack of lamb with pesto crust. Will the crash course in cooking help Michelle to the two yumms she'll need from the mystery judges in order to pass the challenge? Stefan's reputation's on the line, so it's going to get hot in the kitchen.
