Food fanatic Stefan Gates is on a one-man mission to try to stop the UK's mums and dads ruining mealtimes, but he has just 24 hours to teach Disaster Chef parents to cook a restaurant-standard, two-course meal in a professional kitchen for three mystery judges - including actor and CBBC presenter Joe Swash.

Disaster Chef Michelle from Liverpool thinks she can cook and is fed up with the family telling her she's rubbish, but Zeta is even more fed up with her mum's rotten dinners. She loves Indian food so Stefan conjures up a magical menu of posh chicken tikka masala followed by poached pears with gold leaf and chocolate souffle. Will Michelle master the techniques Stefan teaches her in his crash course, and will her dishes pass the all important yumm test with the judges?
