Showman Phineas T Barnum joins a race between inventors to get to the moon.

Sci-fi comedy directed by Don Sharp, about an American showman (Burl Ives) who forms an alliance with two crooked English businessmen in a bid to send a man to the moon.

Loose adaptation of Jules Verne's From the Earth to the Moon. 

The clash of incompetent inventors over how to get a man to the moon attracts American showman PT Barnum, who galvanises the venture. However rivalry, jealousy, and idiocy undermine the high-profile project every step of the way.
