BBC Two - I'm All Right, Jack

Classic star-studded satire. An upper class dimwit finds himself on the shop floor.

Classic satire on British industry in which an upper-class dimwit (Ian Carmichael) is thrown onto the shop floor by his crooked uncle in an attempt to provoke a strike.

When upper class dimwit Stanley Windrush is discharged from the army, his aunt insists he should get a job in management. But two ex-army colleagues, now factory owners, manipulate Stanley to engineer a strike and he becomes a pawn between management, unions and the press.
