Documentary focusing on the concerns, goals and aspirations of individuals and communities caught in the midst of China's rapid drive for change. The programme is based in and around the south-western province of Sichuan. 

Students have long been regarded in China as implementers of change. For the last few years Sichuan University has been sending student volunteers to a mountain area in southern Sichuan to work with one of China's largest ethnic minorities.
