A woman is forced to leave Africa when her husband is wrongly imprisoned.

Drama about a woman (Thandie Newton) who is forced to leave Africa when her husband is wrongly imprisoned, becoming housekeeper to a reclusive pianist (David Thewlis) in Italy.

Drama about a woman who is forced to leave Africa when her husband is wrongly imprisoned by an African dictator. She studies medicine and keeps house for a reclusive English pianist in Italy. When he declares his undying love for her, she is unable to forget her husband and the world she has left behind.
