Vince Cable gets the thumbs down from the unions after suggesting that the government might change the laws governing strikes, telling union chiefs that the government may make it harder for them to take industrial action if there's widespread disruption over the summer.

George Osborne is also under fire over his deficit reduction plan. He maintains his Plan A should run the course, despite criticism that it might result in 'a lot more pain and a lot less gain'. 

Plus, David Cameron never actually said he wanted to hug a hoodie, but fingers are pointing the Tories being guilty of cuddling criminals. The Daily Politics asks if they gone soft on crime with the PM's former speech writer, Danny Kruger, who now runs a charity working with ex-offenders.
