Max meets Elizabeth and they move in together, but when she talks of marriage, he gets cold feet. He also becomes extremely jealous, and suspects her of having an affair with a friend. His jealousy is manipulated by Lena, a colleague who likes him and wants him to break up with Elizabeth.
