Also, in the month marking the 65th official anniversary of VJ day, we meet a man for whom a routine appointment with his audiologist unlocked the key to his own extraordinary past as a Japanese prisoner of war involved with the building of the infamous bridge over the River Kwai. 

There is also a visit to Rotary House, a unique housing project in Norfolk which aims to transform the lives of its deaf and hard of hearing residents.
