Heart-warming drama. A widow (Joan Plowright) meets a young writer, who becomes her surrogate grandson. She wants to retain some independence, while he seeks inspiration.

Heart-warming drama. Widow Sarah Palfrey meets young writer Ludovic Meyer, who becomes her surrogate grandson. She wants to retain some independence, living in a genteel, small London hotel, while he seeks life experience and inspiration for his creativity - but their relationship is not without complications.
