Andi Oliver travels to the north east of England, to the fishing town of Bridlington, where she uncovers its best-kept secret – it’s the lobster capital of Europe!
Andi wants to put on a party that not only gets the word out about Bridlington’s extraordinary, little-known claim to fame but also helps to secure the future of its historic fishing industry. The fleet are worried that not enough young people are taking an interest in what happens at the busy harbour, but will Andi’s plans to take the town’s teenagers on a fishing trip in choppy waters really convince them to sign up for a career on the high seas?
To get the whole town excited about the lobster caught on their doorstep, Andi must come up with a shellfish feast that appeals to all and a spectacular way to make a big noise about it. This means drawing on the expertise of brilliant local chefs and sourcing delicious regional produce. But is a New Orleans-style parade the best way to get the locals crazy about lobster, and will the young people of Bridlington even show up to try it? Show less
