Spring is a season of new life and hopefulness, when anything seems possible in the longer days ahead. It can be the most dramatic, expectant and optimistic of seasons when our trees and hedgerows display leaves of every shade of green, wildflowers burst into life in our hay meadows, and blossom festoons our orchards. Our wildlife has a spring in its step too as lives are consumed with mating, hatching and survival.
