In the early 1950s, 14-year-old Joe Brinson has moved with his mother and father to a small town in Montana. When his father unjustly loses his job at the local golf course, he decides to take up firefighting in the hills. His mother Jeanette feels abandoned and increasingly treats Joe as an adult, who soon has to learn some powerful and indelible life lessons. Show less
