Eilidh Barbour presents highlights as old foes Europe and the USA lock horns again on day one of the Ryder Cup at the Whistling Straits course in Wisconsin.
When the event was last held in France in 2018, Europe’s emphatic victory over the Americans meant they had won nine of the last 12 Ryder Cups. Europe’s latest captain, Padraig Harrington, will be confident of extending their run of success given he will have Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Tommy Fleetwood in his side.
However, the Americans are laden with talent themselves, with major winners Collin Morikawa, Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau all ready to do battle.
