Sabrina Grant presents as a team of expert crafters transform unused objects into contemporary and functional items.

Today, an old grandfather clock stands tall in the workshop. It belongs to Marion, and it has been in her family for over 100 years. But now it is a dust collector, no longer used, and neither of her sons want such a large item. Marion still likes its intricate details and the flower motifs on the face, but she would be happy for it to have a new purpose. Fine furniture maker Daisy and interiors expert Rob pitch rival ideas to transform Marion’s clock.

Bob worked in the Middle East for three years, where he bought things that caught his eye, including a Bedouin rug and a Syrian table cloth. He and his partner George have brought them into the workshop, as they have been taking up precious cupboard space. Upholsterer Alex and fabric specialist Elizabeth team up to offer one design, and metalsmith John offers another. Which radical transformation will win out?

Vintage games consoles give mechanics expert Titch a challenge. They belong to keen gamer Ade, who has held onto the machines that he and his mum played together when he was growing up. Now they’re gathering dust, but Titch has an idea that will give the eight consoles an extra life.

And sculptor Leigh finds time to work on his own project: transforming a rusty wheelbarrow into a multi-function mobile cooking station. With a design including a cooking pot hook, a utensil shelf and an adjustable grill, he hopes he hasn’t bitten off more than he can chew. Show less
