According to Ramsay MacMahon the only thing to get you through the 9-5 is to have an action-packed adventure to look forward to. With this in mind he heads to the Isle of Mull for a couple of days.
This area has long been associated with clan MacLean and so Ramsay’s first stop is a trip to Duart Castle where the current clan chief tells him about the castle and its history.
He then travels down to the Ross of Mull to visit a farmer of Hebridean sheep, a breed until recently on the verge of extinction. Ramsay buys some lamb chops to cook on the BBQ at nearby Ardalanish beach but can’t resist a quick dip in the sea before dinner.
The next day Ramsay heads north to face his fears. He visits the dark depths of the longest cave in the Hebrides, MacKinnon’s Cave. Only accessible at low tide, it is shrouded in mysterious tales.
A-rèir Ramsay MacMahon chan fhaigh thu tro sheachdain saothrach mur eil rud air leth math a’ feitheamh ort. Mar sin tha e a’ dèanamh as gu Muile airson latha no dha.
Tha e a’ stad an toiseach aig Caisteal Dhubhaird, far a bheil ceann-feadhna Chloinn ‘Illeathain ag innse dha eachdraidh an daingnich agus nan daoine.
Nuairsin sìos dhan Ros Mhuileach a choinneachadh ri tuathanach a tha ag àrach chaorach dhubha eileanach, gnè a bha o chionn ghoirid an cunnart dhol a bith. Tha Ramsay a’ceannach asnaichean a bhruicheas e air bàirbeacù air tràigh Àrd Dealanais – ach tha e a’leum a-mach air a mhuir mus toir e greim asda.
An ath latha cuiridh e aghaidh air an eagal – ann an duimhneachd is dorchadas Uamh MhicFhionghuin, an uamh is fhaide sna h-eileanan, le iomadh sgeul dorcha dìomhair ceangailte rithe.
