Series 1

Malaysia Day 1

Duration: 15 minutes

First broadcast: on CBBC HDLatest broadcast: on CBBC Channel

The girls’ team of sprinter Alesha, showjumper and runner Neisha and a new addition, rugby player and discus thrower Niamh, are in Malaysia, south east Asia, to learn about the popular local sport of lion dancing. At the end of the week, they are going to compete in front of top judges, who will assess how well they have mastered this very difficult sport.

Led by presenter Camille Ucan, their first action-packed day involves an awe-inspiring introduction to lion dancing, performed by professionals. The girls then meet their training partners, who they will also perform with at the end of the week.

After a quick look around their accommodation, Camille meets a grand master of the sport to learn more about the lion costume part of lion dancing, before the girls experience their first intense training session. It is going to be a tough week. Show less
