This week, the programme explores new findings by the Deafness Cognition and Language project that show people born deaf can use their auditory cortex for working memory - a component of higher order thinking.

The team visit rehearsals for Deafinitely Theatre's new version of the play 4.48 Psychosis. This play, written by Sarah Kane shortly before she took her own life, explores the truth of what it feels like living with serious mental health problems.

The team also speaks to Raabia Hussain, who has made films about her project raising awareness of sign language and education needs in Africa.

And there is a look at a new high-tech book bringing British Sign Language to hearing and deaf families alike. Show less
