The second week of heats sees five more celebrities enter the MasterChef kitchen. This week battling for the crown are TV personality Dom Parker, comedian Josie Long, radio presenter and poet Mim Shaikh, professional quizzer Jenny Ryan and reality star and A&E doctor Alex George.
For their first challenge, they are tasked with making a pizza, including the dough, of their own design. The celebrities are then split into two groups to take on the challenge of cooking for the first time in a restaurant kitchen, preparing dishes for paying customers. Alex, Josie and Dom head to the Baptist Grill at L’Oscar Hotel, a modern British restaurant in Central London, while Jenny and Mim are sent to Merchants Tavern, a modern European restaurant in east London.
In the final test of culinary creativity, it’s back to the MasterChef kitchen, as the contestants are asked to prepare a dish of their own design in just one hour. The celebrities work furiously in a last attempt to prove themselves to judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode, because at the end of this test one of them will be going home. Show less
