In the third round of The Family Brain Games, two new families prepare to have their intellectual talents tested like never before. The fun-loving Riley family from Guildford are hoping their team spirit will carry them through to next week’s semi-final, led by photographer mum Rachel and engineer dad Michael, ably supported by daughter and drama fan Lizzy, 14, and keen problem solver Ben, 11.
Standing in their way and hoping to win the battle of the brains are the competitive Kerr family, including Oxford-educated fundraiser mum Nikki, ex-maths teacher and fellow Oxford-alumni gran Kate, and sons Sam, 11, who is a reading enthusiast, and aspiring palaeontologist Ben, nine.
