Darjeeling on holiday. There, as he waits for the mists to clear from the peak of Kangchenjunga, he meets a young unemployed man who makes him see his acquisitiveness in a different light. The first of two films following Omnibus's portrait of Satyajit Ray. It is Ray's first colour film, and the first he scripted himself.
