A young girl lay dead in a Scottish glen. She had been stabbed repeatedly. The police searched for her killer but could find no clues, no motive. Then a man called George Beattie said that he had been in the glen on the night she died. As the police questioned him he told them in detail how the crime had been committed. His story seemed to fit the facts. Beattie was charged with her murder, convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. Today, ten years later, he's still in jail.
