American Todd Hamilton took a one-shot lead over Ernie Els to head a star-studded leaderboard going into last year's final. Masters champion Phil Mickelson moved to six under alongside US Open winner Retief Goosen and Thomas Levet , while
Barry Lane stayed at five under with Tiger Woods one back and Colin Montgomerie on three under.
