Undercover reporter David Potts, posing as a 'dirty old man', prepared the damning dossier, and snatch photographer Ian Cutler, using unconventional techniques, came up with the sort of shuddersome photographs that would wring the withers of News of the World readers and make breakfast on Sunday 6 September more than the usual, unforgettable experience.
