The State Visit of Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh to Italy

Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh sail into the Bay of Naples in the royal yacht Britannia, on their way to Rome for the official start of the visit. The royal yacht is escorted by a cruiser and two destroyers from the British Mediterranean Fleet, and units of the Italian Navy. Salutes will be fired by the shore battery and by the Naval escorts as the yacht enters the harbour
