Sir Walford Davies ,.
Master of the King's Musick
Once again Sir Walford Davies gives the opening talk to introduce the two speakers and their subjects. In the first half of the series (January 9 to February 13) Francis Toye has chosen ' The Enjoyment of Music ' as his theme, believing that it is what one likes in music rather than what one dislikes that matters. In the second half of the series (February 27 to April 3) Thalben-Ball, organist of The Temple, will talk about the organ-what it can and cannot do.
