A light-hearted tribute to Christmas singles of the 1980s. From Jona Lewie 's Stop the Cavalry in 1980 right the way through to Do They Know It's Christmas by Band Aid 2, this is the story of the decade when everyone dreamed of a seasonal smash. David Bowie and Bing Crosby formed an unlikely duo to bring Peace on Earth, Fatboy Slim could be seen singing an a cappella version of Caravan of Love, and the Pretenders, Bruce Springsteen and even Run DMC got caught up in the Christmas rush.
