The TT 80 Years On
It's a paradox that the world's most dangerous racetrack should also be the one to have survived the longest. The Isle of Man has been on the international motorcycle racing calendar since 1907, and has claimed 141 lives, but support for it is as fanatical now as at any time in its history. In no other motorsport arena is the pursuit of the perfect performance so elusive as on the 371 mile Isle of Man mountain course.... and for the specialist road racer that is an attraction that exceeds all others. For him, the TT has always been the essential gathering place of motorcyclists.
