Video Nation Presents One Day in Scotland

on BBC Two England

On 6 May, Scotland's voters went to the polls to elect the men and women who would sit in the first Scottish Parliament for nearly 300 years. As the historic day unfolded, Video Nation's cameras filmed a cross-section of the country's population as they went about their everyday business.
Rain interrupted Mara's plans to perform an African dance on Edinburgh's Royal
Mile, and Allan was continuing to work as a plumber while trying to get elected to Aberdeen City Council. At a Hamilton bingo hall, Nancy was hoping that her numbers would come up while, on an offshore oil rig, Mikey was beginning a three-week stint. Producer Chris Mohr ; Executive producer
