Full House

on BBC Two England

A special edition featuring the work of children, including their own plays, pictures, music, films, poetry: introduced by Joe Melia

Some Bright Stars
Eighty girls from Queen's College, London, are joined by six plastic pipe twirlers in a performance of a piece of choral music composed for them by David Bedford.

In Trouble
Every week 300 children from North London improvise some of the most vigorous and entertaining drama to be seen in London. In their first sequence the Anna Scher Children's Theatre from Islington look into the problem of kids in trouble.

Zenon
A rock revival session from three self-taught Surrey teenagers, all born a few years after Rock Around the Clock caused so much havoc in the cinemas.
Raymond Skeet (lead guitar), Paul Garrett (rhythm guitar) and Bruce Bisland (vocals and drums) play some old-time favourites, including 'Great Balls of Fire.'

Poetry
I would have no more said in favour of prejudice:
I would give the world a finishing touch
Some of the most attractive and fascinating work in classrooms is to be found in verse. Children from two very different schools - Hampstead Primary School, West Bromwich, and Hackney Downs Comprehensive - read and talk about their work.

9.50 Christmas Greetings
The results of the second Children's Cartoon Competition, organised by Icograda, the international animated film organisation. Tonight Full House presents the winning films and introduces the young film-makers.

The Box in the Corner
Television dominates the home lives of most children. Tonight the Anna Scher Children's Theatre give their own views of the box; teenagers report on the past week's programmes; and the young audience talk about television and their reactions to it; plus film from members of the Forest Hill School Film Unit in Lewisham, a mosaic assembled in the studio by a group of children from Tollington Park School, with a little help from the studio audience, songs, paintings...
