In the light of April's riots, a chance to see again the award-winning series about life in one of Britain's overcrowded maximum security prisons.
They Call Us Beasts. C1 in Strangeways is a place where inmates are labelled by their fellow prisoners as 'beasts'. They are mainly sex offenders. On entering prison these men are advised to apply for segregation for their own protection . In this programme the inmates talk about life on C1, including the tension of living three to a cell when two of the men are gay and the third is not. Producer Rex Bloomstein (R)
