on BBC One London

'The chief end of Man is to glorify God' says the Shorter Catechism. But many of the roles given in the past to God have been taken over by Science. Must then the concept of Man be modified?
At this year's meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science at Cambridge, one section deals with the broader implications of science.
The presidential address is given by Dr. Magnus Pyke, F.R.S.E. and in the common room of Selwyn College, Dr. Pyke airs his views and meets some critics including
James Mark, John Wren Lewis and The Ven. Edward Carpenter, Archdeacon of Westminster.
