Advent is the season when the church prepares for the coming of Christ. In tonight's programme from Skipton in North Yorkshire Geoffrey Wheeler talks to some local people about how Christ's teaching has come into their lives - and through them into the lives of others in very practical ways. Among them is Phyllis Burns whose weekly class in elementary English has enabled many of Skipton's Asian wives to play a fuller part in the life of the community. The hymns are sung in the Holy Trinity Parish Church.
