The Private Life of the Kingfisher

on BBC Two England

Written and produced by Jeffery Boswall.
Introduced by Peter Scott.

The Kingfisher is the most beautiful bird in Britain. No more detailed and intimate cine-study has ever been made of so secretive a bird. This programme follows the fortunes of a pair of Kingfishers on the river Test through their year's cycle, and sees them in sunshine and snow, above water and below, and inside their nest-hole.
