Its power has been absolute but now a Government committee has recommended that the old school should relinquish some control to the new breed of commercial experts. In tonight's film, Senior Steward Lord Hartington defends their tradition while the Marquess of Zetland admits it might be time some of his fellow members were "put out to grass".
