Shoot for the Moon: 40 Years of Imagineering

on BBC Two England

A documentary, including previously unseen footage from the Walt Disney archives, on the work of the Disney Imagineers - the creative team established in 1954 by Walt Disney to enable him to turn his Jules Verne-like dreams into reality. The programme shows the build-up to the opening of a spectacular new ride. The most ambitious ride that Disney has yet built at its European site south of Paris, Space Mountain catapults passengers from 0-50 mph in two seconds.
