Treasures from Chatsworth

on BBC Two England

Written and introduced by Frank Delaney with Their Graces the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire from the Royal Academy of Arts, London
Currently, nearly 200 treasures from Chatsworth, the Derbyshire home of the Dukes of Devonshire, are on exhibition at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London - now the Royal Academy of Arts, but at one time home of Lord Burlington, whose own great collections became part of the Devonshire inheritance in the 18th century.
Elegant furniture, family portraits, paintings, drawings and sculptures collected abroad, magnificent gems and jewellery, sumptuous plate and fine porcelain for use and display - all are to be found as part of the Devonshire inheritance.
Recorded on location at the Royal Academy of Arts. London, and at Chatsworth. Derbyshire
