Paul Sacher, who has won renown for his work (particularly on behalf of contemporary music) at Basle, is including in this concert two works by Swiss composers. Honegger's Monopartita, which is receiving its first broadcast performance in this country, was completed in Paris two years ago; Martin's Concerto was written in Amsterdam and Geneva in 1949.
