Sir Colin Davis conducts a rare performance of Sibelius's symphonic epic, recorded during the Barbican Centre's festival of Scandinavian culture. Based on the early myths of Finnish history, it is the story of the warrior hero Kullervo.
With Soile Isokski (soprano), Jorma Hynninen (baritone), the London Symphony Orchestra and the University of Helsinki Choir.
