with Isobelita Alonso
Isobelita Alonzo was born in Bilbao, where she lived until after the Great War, when she came to England to complete her education. Many of the songs which she sings she learnt as a child from her mother, though she has since studied music both in this country and in France, Italy, and Germany. In Spain she spent some considerable time in the Gypsy country round Granada studying Flamenco singing.
She has been in England for the past two years, during which she has broadcast a good many times. She has been heard in such Variety productions as The Sunny Side, Money for Jam, and Southern Maid. She has also broadcast from this country to South America.
